Abstract
A theoretical treatment, based on the Maxwell stress tensor, is used to evaluate the effect of magnetic and electrostatic fields on the surface tension of liquids. This treatment makes it possible to consider any kind of field and surface shape compatible with the applied field. Previous calculations performed for electrostatic fields and particular surface shapes are extended.File in questo prodotto:
