Very recent studies hint to the new and exciting possibility that the topology of Josephson Junction Networks (JJN) may be crucial for inducing novel and unexpected macroscopic quantum phenonema. After discussing the theoretical possibility of a spatial Bose-Einstein Condensation (BEC) of Cooper pairs for a JJN built on a comb-graph, we shall describe a simple experiment enabling to observe BEC in these systems. 2006
Abstract
Very recent studies hint to the new and exciting possibility that the topology of Josephson Junction Networks (JJN) may be crucial for inducing novel and unexpected macroscopic quantum phenonema. After discussing the theoretical possibility of a spatial Bose-Einstein Condensation (BEC) of Cooper pairs for a JJN built on a comb-graph, we shall describe a simple experiment enabling to observe BEC in these systems. We report also on the progress made by our collaboration in the fabrication of graph-shaped networks and we shall provide preliminary experimental evidences of BEC on a comb shaped JJN.File in questo prodotto:
