In Naples during the time span between 1830 and 1848, the publishing business that develops around the magazines assumes the character of considerable size, not only and not so much by the number of printers and the heads of the periodicals, as well as for the dissemination of same magazines and above all for debate and cultural commitment that rises around them. The essay examines the cultural events of some of the most important magazines Neapolitan: "The Advancement of Science and Arts of Letters", the "Museum of Literature and Philosophy," the "Moral Sciences Library, Legislative and Economic."

A Napoli durante l'arco temporale compreso tra il 1830 ed 1848 l'attività editoriale che si sviluppa intorno alle riviste assume carattere di dimensioni notevoli, non solo e non tanto per il numero delle tipografie e delle testate dei periodici, quanto per la diffusione delle riviste stesse e soprattutto per il dibattito e l'impegno culturale che sorge intorno ad esse. Il saggio prende in esame le vicende culturali di alcune delle più importanti riviste napoletane: «Il Progresso delle Scienze delle Lettere e delle Arti», il «Museo di Letteratura e Filosofia», la «Biblioteca di Scienze Morali, Legislative ed Economiche».
