An experimental analysis of 3D velocity field evolution of a ship model in afree rolling motion has been carried out at the INSEAN towing tank. Measurement has been performing by using stereo PIV technique (SPIV) acquiring the evolution of the velovity field during the damped rolling motion of the ship. Measurement have been performed only in 1 plane located at 2833 mm from AP for FR 0,138 corresponding at a speed of 1.033 m/s, with a starting oscillation amplitude of 10°.
