Abstract
In this communication, we discuss the surface thermodynamic properties of silica modified with two new alkoxysilanes, prepared by us, with a polybutadiene oligomer tail. The long hydrocarbon chain should facilitate the dispersion of silica into the rubber matrix, due to its high compatibility with the elastomer matrix. Moreover, polybutadiene tail would have an enhanced reactivity for a new technology of vulcanization of rubber in the tire industry, like irradiation or peroxides. Surface characteristics of the ensuing silicas were evaluatedFile in questo prodotto:
