The (Ba-10 at% Sr)TiO3 solid solution in the form of nanosized powder has been prepared with an alternative low-temperature aqueous synthesis (LTAS). The perovskite-like compound has been doped with 1,000 ppm of La introduced with reactants during the precipitation of the powder. This procedure allows a homogeneous dispersion within the solid solution. Samples were characterised by X-ray Diffraction an Electron Microscopy (TEM). The powder was compacted by isostatic pressing and sintered according to different thermal treatments. PTCR effect and Curie Temperature shift have been observed, beside a considerable increase of dielectric constant value at room temperature

Abstract
The (Ba-10 at% Sr)TiO3 solid solution in the form of nanosized powder has been prepared with an alternative low-temperature aqueous synthesis (LTAS). The perovskite-like compound has been doped with 1,000 ppm of La introduced with reactants during the precipitation of the powder. This procedure allows a homogeneous dispersion within the solid solution. Samples were characterised by X-ray Diffraction an Electron Microscopy (TEM). The powder was compacted by isostatic pressing and sintered according to different thermal treatments. PTCR effect and Curie Temperature shift have been observed, beside a considerable increase of dielectric constant value at room temperatureI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
