The structure of magnetoacoustic perturbations around the X-line of a toroidal magnetic configuration has been analyzed in the framework of ideal MHD by means of a WKB technique. Conditions for wave trapping are investigated, and the relevant eigenvalues and eigenfunctions are computed.
