A numerical-experimental study about the variation of the length of an existing ship, due to a change in her mission, is here presented. Numerical results are compared with towing tank data for a wide range of ship-length and velocities. Finally, full-scale reliefs demonstrate the affordability of the numerical and experimental techniques.
