Typhlarmadillidium ruffoi n. sp. is described from the Colli Euganei, near Padua. The new species is morphologically similar to T. trebinjanum Verhoeff, 1900 from Croatia, Herzegovina and Montenegro, from which it is readily distinguished by the different male pereopod 7 and pleopod 1 endopod. This is the first record of the genus Typhlarmadillidium in Italy.
