Abstract

The interaction of nanocrystalline tin oxide and titanium oxide powders with NO2-containing atmosphere has been followed as a function of temperature by Raman spectroscopy. New bands appearing in the 800-1600 cm(-1) range have been observed and attributed to various adsorbates. The responsibility of adsorbed nitrites in the sensor resistance change is proposed.
