This paper provides an overview of the work presented during the two-part minisymposium on Extreme Ship Dynamics at the 2005 Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) Conference on Appli- cations of Dynamical Systems held in Snowbird, Utah, from May 22 to 26, 2005. The topics covered included theoretical and experimental treatments of seakeeping, capsize, general oscillators, parametric roll, and hydrodynamics. A roundtable discussion focused on means to validate numerical simulation tools.

Abstract
This paper provides an overview of the work presented during the two-part minisymposium on Extreme Ship Dynamics at the 2005 Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) Conference on Appli- cations of Dynamical Systems held in Snowbird, Utah, from May 22 to 26, 2005. The topics covered included theoretical and experimental treatments of seakeeping, capsize, general oscillators, parametric roll, and hydrodynamics. A roundtable discussion focused on means to validate numerical simulation tools.File in questo prodotto:
