The C 1s excitation and ionization of methyloxirane have been studied via photoabsorption, photoemission and photoelectron–Auger electron coincidence experiments with linearly and circularly polarized synchrotron radiation. The measurements with circularly polarized radiation provide a systematic observation of circular dichroism effects in inner shell processes.
