Defect-free dense mixed matrix membranes (MMMS) containing porous zeolites in amorphous and glassy high free volume perfluoropolymers (Teflon AF1600 and Teflon AF2400) have been prepared for the first time ever. The zeolites (80 and 350 nm) are fairly well dispersed and show a very good adhesion with the polymer. The gas permeation behaviour of the MMMs indicates the presence of a polymer-zeolite interface characterized by a higher free volume than the polymer bulk.

Abstract
Defect-free dense mixed matrix membranes (MMMS) containing porous zeolites in amorphous and glassy high free volume perfluoropolymers (Teflon AF1600 and Teflon AF2400) have been prepared for the first time ever. The zeolites (80 and 350 nm) are fairly well dispersed and show a very good adhesion with the polymer. The gas permeation behaviour of the MMMs indicates the presence of a polymer-zeolite interface characterized by a higher free volume than the polymer bulk.File in questo prodotto:
