Abstract
The recovery and the electronic fruition of documentary material in architectonic heritage, the development of digital technology methodologies for cultural heritage and the use of new technological and informative systems are more and more diffused. The potential of these technologies for the planning and the subsequent management of information in cultural heritage fields is various and, above all, the digitalization of data is considered now an essential part in a course to heritage valorization. Specifically, among the new applied technologies the Geographical Information System are more and more frequent. They come up as instruments for the control of territory and they are so flexible that they can be applied in different research areas. We are attending to the application of the specific functionalities of GIS to the conservation of building heritage, particularly the historic and monumental building. The idea to use a Geographical Information System for the methodical schedule of the lime furnaces in the High Val D'Agri in Basilicata has been organized so that we can do rapid and useful analysis to have information and to underline common characteristics or differences among furnaces. The GIS, in the specific case, permit to link dynamically to handworks and to vector themes, that are the analysis object, a series of information about typological, structural, building, architectonic characteristic, location and historical data and it contains data and technical parameters that are necessary for a recovery plan.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
