A special issue on Narrative Learning Environments has been worked out in 2006 by the Special Interest Group on Narrative and Learning Environments (SIG NLE) of the Kaleidoscope Network of Excellence, in collaboration with DAPPPLE, a research network funded by the EPSRC/AHRB Culture and Creativity Programme UK (http://www.dappple.org.uk/). Its editors are: Isabel Machado Alexandre (INESC-ID, PT: member of the Steering committee of SIG NLE), Ana Paiva (INESC-ID, PT: member of the Steering committee of SIG - NLE) and Paul Brna (U. Glasgow, UK: partner of the DAPPPLE). This Deliverable describes origin, methods and outcomes of such joint research activity.
