Setting up some teacher training activity related to Narrative Learning Environments (NLEs) was identified, while preparing the Y4 work plan for Kaleidoscope, as a useful activity that the SIG NLE could undertake, in order to start analysing possible ways to foster the use of narrative, and in particular of NLEs, in the school. To this end, we drew from the wealth of teacher training experience of SIG members, and we selected two activities answering such aims, respectively addressed to pre-service and inservice teachers. The two experiences are presented by the researchers who carried them out. Some comments and reflections are then added by other researchers with experience in teacher training. The analysis made highlights the positive aspects of these activities, and suggests some possible improvements. This report suggests that helping teachers gain competence on possible educational uses of narrative can well be done within regular teacher training courses, simply by adding within them some well planned, ad hoc activities.
