The SmBaCuO compound is potentially attractive for developing high temperature superconductor applications. In this work we deal with SmBaCuO thin ®lms growth by means of pulsed laser ablation and deposition (PLAD). We report the SmBaCuO ®lm properties by changing the relevant deposition parameters, such as the laser ¯uence (F) and the substrate temperature (Ts). Under suitable choice of such parameters the ®lms show an epitaxial growth in the 00l direction on the crystalline MgO (100) substrate. In addition, these ®lms have a quite sharp superconducting transition in the resistivity behavior at a temperature T . 77 K.
