Along the southern and western Sicilian coast, Dicentrarchus labrax (Pisces -Serranidae) artisanal fishery catches have been studied with the aid of statistical analysis sice September 1997 to Amy 1998. Data supported the hypothesis that the average size and average catch per boat could be related to the presence of acquaculture activity in the fishing area.
