In this article, we present the X-ray absorption spectra of the three isomers of dichloroethylene C2H2Cl2 in the vicinity of the chlorine L2 and L3 edges. These isomers were excited along the first Cl2p to lowest unoccupied molecular orbital transition and an analysis of the corresponding resonant Auger spectra shows that the C-Cl bond can break before the electronic decay. An investigation of a possible Auger Doppler-like effect is also presented.

Abstract
In this article, we present the X-ray absorption spectra of the three isomers of dichloroethylene C2H2Cl2 in the vicinity of the chlorine L2 and L3 edges. These isomers were excited along the first Cl2p to lowest unoccupied molecular orbital transition and an analysis of the corresponding resonant Auger spectra shows that the C-Cl bond can break before the electronic decay. An investigation of a possible Auger Doppler-like effect is also presented.File in questo prodotto:
