Diese Sippe ist sehr wahrscheinlich das Ergebnis einer Introgression von Ph. coccineus inPh. vulgaris. Bei Wildsippen der Gartenbohne wird eine größere Variationsbreite hinsichtlich des Phaseolin-Musters bestätigt. Wildsippen können als nützliches Ausgangsmaterial für Züchtungszwecke eingeschätzt werden.

Abstract
