The excitation of the Cr3+ fluorescence in the indium fluoride Na3In2Li3F12 garnet was measured from 2 to 30 eV by means of synchrotron radiation. The observed high energy electronic transitions were interpreted in terms of ligand to metal charge transfer and of d3 -> d2s ion transitions.

Abstract
