SDS/PAGE was used to screen 378 common bean accessions, for a total of 1130 single seeds. The seed populations were mostly collected in the Mediterranean area, or obtained by exchange with other germplasm banks. All the analysed seeds revealed phaseolin banding patterns somehow corresponding to the types already described as T, C, and S. Nevertheless, some heterogeneity was detected within the original banding types.

Abstract
SDS/PAGE was used to screen 378 common bean accessions, for a total of 1130 single seeds. The seed populations were mostly collected in the Mediterranean area, or obtained by exchange with other germplasm banks. All the analysed seeds revealed phaseolin banding patterns somehow corresponding to the types already described as T, C, and S. Nevertheless, some heterogeneity was detected within the original banding types.File in questo prodotto:
