Abstract
In order to draw a complete picture of the chronobiology of the digestion in European eel (Anguilla anguilla), the patterns of digestive enzymes were investigated. They showed the occurrence of high levels of total proteases, mainly represented by pepsin. Low amounts of mylase and lipase were also measured, suggesting the good efficiency of the degradation of organic molecules in this fish species.File in questo prodotto:
