Data on the squid Illex coindetii (Verany, 1839) (Cephalopod: Ommastrephidae) collected in the southern Tyrrhenian Sea during scientific trawl surveys were analysed. A cartographic representation of mean value of abundance in summer from 1994 to 2007 evidenced the spatial distribution of the species.
