Recent benthic foraminifera assemblages were investigated in Gela Gulf (Sicily Channel). Four sediment samples were collected and a total of 73 benthic foraminiferal species were identified. Only one station showed a relative low abundance of benthic foraminifera, while all assemblages showed normal condition related to the oceanography.
