The optical properties and the photoexcitation dynamics of quasi-planar thiophene oligomers included in perhydrotriphenylene are reported. The spectroscopical properties of different oligothiophene conformers are studied with both cw site selective and time resolved photoluminescence measurements. A fast torsional relaxation in the excited state before radiative recombination is proposed as the main photoexcitation mechanism.

Abstract
The optical properties and the photoexcitation dynamics of quasi-planar thiophene oligomers included in perhydrotriphenylene are reported. The spectroscopical properties of different oligothiophene conformers are studied with both cw site selective and time resolved photoluminescence measurements. A fast torsional relaxation in the excited state before radiative recombination is proposed as the main photoexcitation mechanism.File in questo prodotto:
