The product illustrates a Product Manager devoted to handle the knowledge that is strictly necessary to support the co-design activities within a network of SMEs, collaborating in the design of an unique final product. It will be illustrated the Standardised Product Model, that is the base of the developed Product Manager, is not a product model to replace that already in use, rather it constitutes a sort of extension of the present PDM for the distributed design process. In addition some possible extension of the product model is discussed, regarding the emerging needs of a sort of classification of the exchanged information.
