Homodinuclear lanthanide(III) complexes of the type: Ln2(L)(X)2.nS (H4L(A) and H4L(B) are the Schiff bases obtained by condensation of 3-formylsalicyclic acid and 4-N-dodecyldiethylenetriamine or 1,5-diamino-3-azapentane respectively; X = NO3-, Cl-; n = 3-8; S = H2O) have been prepared and characterized by i.r., n.m.r. spectroscopy and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The preparation of mono- and hetero-dinuclear complexes failed. On contrary, mono-, homo- and hetero-dinuclear lanthanide(III) complexes, respectively Ln(H4L)(NO3)3.nS, Ln2(L)(NO3)2.nS and Ln1-Ln2(L)(NO3)2.nS (n = 1-3; S = H2O, CH3OH), have been prepared by using the ligands H4L(C) and H4L(D), which are the Schiff bases derived by condensation of 2,3-dihydroxybenzaldehyde with 1,5-diamino-3-azapentane or 1,5-diamino-3-thiapentane respectively. The metal1/metal2 ratio and the homogeneity of the compounds have been evaluated also by electron microscopy together with x-ray fluorescence microprobe. The possibility of obtaining hetero-dinuclear uranyl(VI)-lanthanide(III) complexes has been successfully investigated.

Abstract
The possibility of obtaining hetero-dinuclear uranyl(VI)-lanthanide(III) complexes has been successfully investigated.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
