Holocene Madrepora-Lophelia subfossil frames recovered at ca. 690 m from deep-water coral grounds south of Malta (Strait of Sicily, Central Mediterranean Sea) were found to entrap shells of cnidarian predatory gastropods such as Babelomurex sentix, "Coralliophila" squamosa (morphotype ruderatus) and architectonicids.
