The Institute of Ecosystem Study (ISE) of the National Research Council (CNR) consists of a main seat in Pallanza and three side seats in Firenze, Pisa and Sassari. The main topic of ISE Sassari researchers is represented by entomology, in particular by biological control of pests. The aim is that to combine the biological control with appropriate ecological studies and to develop the understanding of population dynamics in the enemy-prey-host plant interaction in order to improve efficacy and safety of biological control and integrated management of pests.
