The work is aimed at illustrating existing opportunities and future challenges of cooperation with Mediterranean Partner Countries. Some details are provided for MEDA bilateral and regional programmes and according to the main chapters of Barcelona process: Political and security partnership; Economic and financial partnership; Partnersgip in social, cultural and human affairs. Main policies at national and international levels have been illustrated with the main objective of favouring networking in the Euro-Mediterranean area; singling out training programmes, favouring the diffusion of scientific and technological results.
