A new genus of Eubelidae (Crustacea, Isopoda), Oropactes, and four new species (O. novus, O. frontelobatus, O. maculatus and O. pilosus) are described. A new definition of the genus Aethiopopactes Verhoeff, 1942 is also given, after re-examination of the syntypes of the type-species A. nigricornis Verhoeff, 1942.
