On the basis of collecting expeditions in Cuba during 1982-88, in which the IBPGR descriptor list was used to record information, the results are presented of studies on genetic resources under the following headings: variation of common bean [P. vulgaris] germplasm; variation of Lima bean [P. lunatus] germplasm; and origin of Cuban Phaseolus genetic resources.
