Chromosome markers in carde were revealed by high resolucion G + C banding. In blood cultures early-BrdU incorporation togecher with simultaneous MTX-block was performed, as previously reported. Fluorescent G + C bands allowed us to study H C-distribucion in che karyotypes of 14 Frisian, Podolian and Romagna males. The study revealed two groups of marker chromosomes. One group showed C-band heteromorphism (chromosomes l , 11 and 27) and che other showed a more constant C-b and size. In the latter group we singled out chromosomes 10, 11 and 28,from among those showing small/intermediate relative C-band size, and l , 2 , 4, 9, 13 and 26, from among those showing intermediate/large relative C-band size.
