Computed Aided treatment of images can be usefully exploited in the field of Historical and Cultural Heritage conservation, where often there is a need for analysis of noisy, old or damaged pieces of artwork or images. In this paper we discuss and compare different algorithms that can be useful for retrieval of information from images, in terms of their efficiency and precision. In particular, the problem of refocusing of blurred images of 3D objects is discussed, using blind deconvolution and simulated annealing technique.

Abstract
Computed Aided treatment of images can be usefully exploited in the field of Historical and Cultural Heritage conservation, where often there is a need for analysis of noisy, old or damaged pieces of artwork or images. In this paper we discuss and compare different algorithms that can be useful for retrieval of information from images, in terms of their efficiency and precision. In particular, the problem of refocusing of blurred images of 3D objects is discussed, using blind deconvolution and simulated annealing technique.File in questo prodotto:
