A twin screw ship model of 1:20.6 scale ratio has been used in the INSEAN "Circulating water Channel" to measure the noise due to cavitation on four blade propellers.. It has been found the cavitation noise was rising up in the frequency range of 2-100 kHz, 20 dB up the background noiseat one meter distance.
