Four new N-acyl-2-methylene-beta-alanine methyl esters, named hurghamides A-D (6-9), together with two known analogues 2a and 2b, were isolated from a Red Sea sponge Hippospongia sp. Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic studies.
