High resolution (1km) numerical simulations with a nonhydrostatic meteorological model will be performed in order to simulate the wind fields over the Venice lagoon. The model results will be compared with the in-situ measurements from surface stations and with the surface winds retrieved from Advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar and measured by satellite scatterometers.

Abstract
