Abstract
The form factor of P(?) of linear atactic polystyrene in cyclohexane (Mw=6.77 × 106) has been studied as a function of temperature from 4.3°C above to 3.9°C below the theta temperature. Changes of the polymer chain configuration with the quality of the solvent are clearly reflected in the range of validity of the approximation View the MathML source, generally used to determine the radius of gyration Rg. The highest value of (qRg)2 to which the approximation is valid decreases significantly on passing from the good solvent to the bad solvent condition.File in questo prodotto:
