A long-term monitoring of groundwater quality evolution has been carried out in an aquifer located in a coastal area (76 Km2) of Apulia Region in Southern Italy, After monitoring, during the time, the concentration-trends of specific pollutants into selected sampling wells, the recorded groundwater pollution has been clearly ascribed to specific anthropic activities typically carried out in the investigated area. A phenomenological interpretation of the groundwater quality evolution has also been outlined.
