Heterogeneous computing is an emerging approach for enhancing performances of complex, highly time consuming software applications. Atmospheric and Oceanic codes seem to offer good opportunities for efficiently using heterogeneous networks. In this paper an heterogeneous implementation of a simulation environment for Weather Forecasting is presented. Experimental results are also given and analysed.
