The study of the doping induced absorptions of polyacetylene in the near infrared and in the infrared regions is of great interest for the understanding of the conductivity mechanism in this polymer. Recently a new synthetic route has been proposed which enables to obtain polyacetylenic chains grafted onto a soluble carrier. By changing the polymerization conditions, polyacetylenic chains having different conjugation lengths can be synthesized. An accurate spectroscopical analysis has been carried out on these samples. In particular the frequencies of the doping induced infrared bands have been studied as a function of the conjugation lengths.

Abstract
The study of the doping induced absorptions of polyacetylene in the near infrared and in the infrared regions is of great interest for the understanding of the conductivity mechanism in this polymer. Recently a new synthetic route has been proposed which enables to obtain polyacetylenic chains grafted onto a soluble carrier. By changing the polymerization conditions, polyacetylenic chains having different conjugation lengths can be synthesized. An accurate spectroscopical analysis has been carried out on these samples. In particular the frequencies of the doping induced infrared bands have been studied as a function of the conjugation lengths.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
