Abstract - The purpose of this paper is the study of a PWhl inverter-fed induction motor, behaviour in terms of high frequency electromagnetic conducted emissions. The development of a suitable model of the complete system, in a word a Power Drive System (PDS), for prediction of high frequency conducted Electromagnetic Interference (EM0 and leakage currents, is also presented. The proposed model takes into account the presence of parasitic components within the system, whose contribution to propagation of conducted disturbance is relevant. Experimental results of high frequency electromagnetic conducted emission measurements on a PDS are reported.
