Resonant production of doubly charged tin ions from multiphoton ionization of tetramethyltin and tetraethyltin molecules is observed in nanosecond multimode laser fields at intensities up to 50 GW/cm2. It is found that the Sn2+ ions are created in a stepwise process including the production of Sn+ ions and their subsequent resonant ionization. The production of Sn+ ions in the two lowest electronic states is observed. © 1992.

Abstract
Resonant production of doubly charged tin ions from multiphoton ionization of tetramethyltin and tetraethyltin molecules is observed in nanosecond multimode laser fields at intensities up to 50 GW/cm2. It is found that the Sn2+ ions are created in a stepwise process including the production of Sn+ ions and their subsequent resonant ionization. The production of Sn+ ions in the two lowest electronic states is observed. © 1992.File in questo prodotto:
