Abstract

The design of a guided wave interferometric modulator having three lumped electrodes was discussed. Numerical techniques of solution for channel waveguides, Y-junctions and electrooptic lumped modulators were included in the design. A simulation based on the beam propagation method was also presented. The derivation of information compared with a user controlled reference voltage for data classification and identification was found to be possible on a set of unknown voltages.
