This paper presents the rotor-flux-oriented vector control of an ac-drive by the application of a recursive least-squares (RLS) method in the estimation of the parameters of the induction motor. Some practical considerations about the estimation of the physical parameters are also discussed and then an adaptive algorithm is presented which computes either all the parameters in speed transients or only the rotor time constant in speed steady-state. Particular emphasis has been laid on the signal processing required for the application of RLS. Furthermore simulation results show the capability of the algorithm to track any variation of the parameters under various conditions.

Abstract
This paper presents the rotor-flux-oriented vector control of an ac-drive by the application of a recursive least-squares (RLS) method in the estimation of the parameters of the induction motor. Some practical considerations about the estimation of the physical parameters are also discussed and then an adaptive algorithm is presented which computes either all the parameters in speed transients or only the rotor time constant in speed steady-state. Particular emphasis has been laid on the signal processing required for the application of RLS. Furthermore simulation results show the capability of the algorithm to track any variation of the parameters under various conditions.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
