A numerical method for describing wave-ship interaction is discussed. The inviscid tridimensional flow is solved by means of an eulerian-lagrangian approach in which the kinematic problem is recast in a boundary integral formulation and coupled to suitable evolution equations describing the motion of the free surface. Rapid solution of the boundary integral equations is achieved by adopting multipole expansion and fast summation techniques. Numerical results are shown in comparison with experimental data.
