This paper presents a statistical approach capable to analyse emissons data of different combination of vehicle type and drving behaviour in a large data base, determine average emissions factor relative to a number of reference driving cycle and predict emissions of urban,rural and highway trips. To this end an analytical model has been developed using a consistent set of kinematic parameter and a multivariate regressionmethod based on principal components by the application of a multivariate regression model developed for the evaluation of emission factors based on driving cycles emission measurements. The method has been applied to a sample of gasoline Euro III over 2000 passenger cars taken from last version of ARTEMIS data base. A six parameters model and a full PLS multiblock model were fitted to data.
