This paper deals with the application of Least-Squares techniques to the on-line and off-line identification of induction motors. It gives a general framework for the use of Ordinary Least-Squares (OLS) for on-line estimation of electrical parameters in induction motors supplied either by the grid or inside high performance adjustable speed drives. Then it describes the employment of Total Least-Squares techniques to the on-line estimation of the electrical parameters of the induction motor, especially in noisy environment. In the end the usefulness of the constrained minimisation for this task is also shown. Numerical and experimental results are presented throughout the paper.

Abstract
This paper deals with the application of Least-Squares techniques to the on-line and off-line identification of induction motors. It gives a general framework for the use of Ordinary Least-Squares (OLS) for on-line estimation of electrical parameters in induction motors supplied either by the grid or inside high performance adjustable speed drives. Then it describes the employment of Total Least-Squares techniques to the on-line estimation of the electrical parameters of the induction motor, especially in noisy environment. In the end the usefulness of the constrained minimisation for this task is also shown. Numerical and experimental results are presented throughout the paper.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
