Numerous experimental studies have been made on vascular prosthe4sis with diameters of less than 3 mm. but, until recently, these fail to remain patent because of intraluminal coagulation. In spite of the great number of studies in this field a fully- non-thrombogenic material has not so far been synthesized. We reported studies on small prosthesis of new biolized elastomer materials by mixing synthetic polymers with the plasma protein fibrinogen of human origin. We performed short and long prosthesis grafts on catodid and aortic arteries, and aortic-iliac by-pass on rabbits. The patency wes investigated by intraoperative doppler and successive angiographic exames. Ultrastructural examinations were made on the prosthesis to control endothelial regeneration on intraluminal surfaces.
New biolized elastomers for vascular grafts

Abstract
Ultrastructural examinations were made on the prosthesis to control endothelial regeneration on intraluminal surfaces.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
